The Challenge

Today we thought we’d take a quick look at an example of a business that already had a website up and running and just needed a helping hand getting visitors to come take a look.

I Do Wedding Cars already had a WordPress Website Live. At Top 10 SEO we wanted to get into all the analysis and content creation that would bring people in so that the website would do its work and convert them into paying customers.

As always, one of our first steps was to identify what the competition was up to. This means we identified which SEO phrases they were competing for, what content they were using in that competition, and areas that they were missing out on that we could use to put I Do Wedding Cars into contention for the more competitive phrases.

If you’re not sure what any of this means, what we’re talking about is SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). This means creating content that is both on-page (meaning on your actual website) and off-page (anywhere else online or in the real world) that will send people to your website.

When people enter phrases into search engines like Google they’re using key-phrases. SEO works to help you “own” these phrases. The more ownership you have of any one particular phrase, the higher you’ll show up in Google’s results.

Of course, it’s not nearly as easy as it sounds, and serious SEO strategies involve a lot of analytics and an understanding of search engine algorithms. Your Top 10 SEO team is pretty good at helping you compete for even the most heavily contested phrases.

And that’s exactly what we did for our partners at I Do Wedding Cars. We weighed which SEO phrases we could own immediately, and which we would have to do battle for over the coming months and years.

We then started creating content on both the website itself (blog posts, page text, etc…) and off-page (social media, press releases, and so on).So did the I Do Wedding Cars website land on page 1 for any of their key phrases?

The Results:

Only just about all of them. 120+ keywords phrases with lots of traffic and growing!
